I graduated from the University of Alberta, with a MD degree in 2017 and completed my family medicine residency program in 2019 from the University of Alberta. I completed my Bachelors of Science in Biological Sciences with honors from the University of Calgary, Alberta.
I spent my early childhood years in India and moved to Canada as an immigrant with my family in 2006.
As a primary care physician, I am passionate about providing primary care to my patients. I also work as a hospitalist in Wetaskiwin Hospital looking after inpatients in medicine ward.
Dr. Jassal is actively practicing family medicine since last two years offering community medical care in the neighborhood he lives in.
Along with community medical care, he is also extending his service to provide hospital care at the Wetaskiwin Hospital in Wetaskiwin, AB.
Besides pursuing his passion in work, he likes to spend his time with friends and family, exploring new travel destinations and listening to music.
I completed my family medicine residency program in 2024 from the University of Alberta. I finished my Doctor of Medicine degree in 2005 from Pontifical and Royal University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines. I have achieved my Bachelor of Science in Biology from De La Salle University Manila Philippines in 2001.
Before immigrating to Canada in 2018, I was working in a women's hospital in Singapore as an Associate and was a hospitalist. I have done family practice as well for a number of years back in my home country.
My experience and passion with primary care and women's health shaped me into providing excellent care to a culturally diverse population.
I am an advocate for equality and inclusion, "every human being should be treated equally regardless of their race, ethnicity, cultural beliefs, socioeconomic status, religion, and sexuality".

And how is my life after work? Well, I am a sports fanatic, a curious traveller, a foodie and a wanna-be chef. I am most importantly a Cat-dada to my 2 rascals named Rainbow and Oreo.
When I am free, I love spending time with my family, playing cricket and enjoying outdoor activities. I am passionate towards medicine and using my knowledge and experience to serve and help my patients.
